Sometimes a glittering career hides some of the most heartbreaking stories. Lolo Jones, who won the USA and World championships in hurdle events in 2013, been able to achieve this level through a great deal of effort and patience. Born to a single mother in a family of five kids, Jones had a difficult and poor growing up. Jones's mother travelled frequently and lived in a church basement. It was a life that required Jones to change schools and attend a new school every calendar year, up to the point she started the high school. While at Theodore Roosevelt High School Jones did not live with her mother in order to take on running events. The family she lived with was diverse in high school so she could be capable of focusing on her academics. Jones received an award called the Gatorade Iowa Track and Field Athlete of the Year Award in high school. She was an active member of the school orchestra, being a cello player. As she began college, Jones proved to be one of the top hurdlers. In 2002, at the NCAA Track & Field Championship in the 100-meter hurdles. In addition, she was one of the runners-up team for the 100-meter relay. In 2003 and 2004 Jones was the winner of the indoor hurdles race during the NCAA Championship. Professional Career Following her graduation at the end of 2005 Jones began training hard for a track career. She won each of races, including the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track competitions in the same year.

Brandt was raised and born in Cape Town in South Africa. She immigrated in Auckland New Zealand with her family in her teens. Brandt was discovered through local casting agents became the main character Naevia on the Starz blockbuster Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Her character was popular with the audiences as well as producer Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi. She was on the show's hit Netflix show Lucifer with a six season run. Brandt's next performance will be in the six-episode Walking Dead spinoff in 2024 with Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurrira. In the July 2023 season of Netflix adult-oriented comedy Captain Fall, Brandt stars with Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni. Lesley-Ann Brandt was born on 2nd December 1981 in Cape Town South Africa. She is a New Zealand actress with a great potential. Lesley Brandt moved along with her entire family in Auckland New Zealand in 1999. In Auckland she was employed as a retail person then be promoted to IT manager consultant. Lesley has performed in numerous commercials after doing a couple of modelling projects. Her acting degree was completed in 2008 and continued to learn about Meisner's method. Lesley's very first prominent acting job was in the TV drama arrangement Diplomatic Immunity in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt made a guest performance on New Zealand's show Shortland Street in the role of a second actor. Then she appeared on the Sci-Fi crime thriller This Is Not My Life inspired by anecdotal Waimoana. Lesley Brandt starred in the drama series Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia as a hostage. She was later seen in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
